Amakusa is known for Five Bridges which is called “Amakusa Gokyo.” In addition, there are 120 islands in Amakusa. The islands of Matsushima are very famous in Kyushu for its superb view. The spectacular sceneries will make you feel relaxing and refreshing!

  • 天門橋（1号橋）は九州本土と天草を結ぶ橋。五橋最高の海面からの高さ42mを誇ります。
  • 五橋周辺では昔から真珠の養殖が盛んに行われているためその沿線は通称『パールライン』と呼ばれています。
  • 大矢野橋（2号橋）は　大矢野島と永浦島を結ぶクリーム色の橋です。

Amakusa Gokyo

Those five bridges called "Amakusa Gokyo". It connects the mainland Kyushu and Amakusa. The construction was started in 1962 and completed in 1966. The culture of pearls has been developed in Amakusa Gokyo around for a long time. That’s why it called "Pearl Line". Moreover, the archipelagos between 3rd Bridge and 4th Bridge have attractive landscape.
